文型：〜かける / 〜かけの

[意味] ① 途中まで～して、まだ～し終わらない ② 〜しそうになる。

継続動詞と接続すると①の途中までの状態であることを表す。瞬間動詞と接続すると②の直前を表す意味。

[英訳] ① Started doing something but haven't finished yet ② Almost about to do something

[接続] V（ます形）ます + かける V（ます形）ます + かけのN

例文

テーブルの上に飲みかけのコーヒーがおかれている。

There is a half-finished coffee left on the table.

息子はやりかけの宿題をおいて、遊びに出かけてしまった。

My son left his unfinished homework and went out to play.

「壊れかけのradio」は徳永英明の名曲だ。

"Kowarekake no Radio" is a famous song by Hideaki Tokunaga.

下痢が治りかけていたのに、何か変な物を食べたのか、またお腹が痛くなってきた。

My diarrhea was almost cured, but after eating something strange, my stomach started to hurt again.

My mother was in the middle of making dinner, but now she's engrossed in a drama.

書きかけのレポートを今日中に仕上げるつもりだ。

I intend to finish my unfinished report by the end of today.

This cucumber is a bit soft, has a strange smell, and is starting to rot.

４月に入って、桜が徐々に散りかけている。

As we enter April, the cherry blossoms are gradually starting to fall.

スマホに夢中で、前の人にぶつかりかけた。

I was so engrossed in my phone that I almost bumped into the person in front of me.

足がつって、溺れかけた。

I got a cramp in my leg and almost drowned.

地震で家が崩壊し、死にかけたが、なんとか一命を取り留めた。

My house collapsed in the earthquake and I almost died, but somehow I managed to survive.

お店でコーヒーカップを見ているときに、手が滑って、商品を落としかけた。

Tom was about to say something, but then he just fell silent.
