Hi

On a yellow background…(just to see what im doing)

I place a Text Rich with Blue text

I make a second Text Rich with Green text

I make a third …….. with Red Text

All on separate tracks

Only the Blue Text track stays there

The others become visible only when I click on their track

…and if I Export Frame, only the Blue track servives

I wonder if you can help

Hello Malcolm,

I’m not sure what exact steps you took, or which OS, or Shotcut version you are using. Maybe you could upload a screenshot from a new project showing the problem.

Everything seems to work fine for me.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Im on windows 10 pc and have the latest version of Shotcut.

By your screenshot I am doing things the same way, as far as I can tell.

Im going to do a fresh reinstall Shotcut to see if it makes a difference

Text 1 & 2 are added. When I add text 3…text 2 disappears. Track 2 only turns on when I click on its video track, but when I do track 2 disappears!

Ant ideas?

By the way, I deleted and downloaded a ne version of Shotcut.

Thank you for the replies. You are adding track filters with nothing in the tracks. Nothing for the playhead to view. You are only viewing the filter currently active because it’s what you have focus on.

Each track needs something for the filter to be viewed.

So what do I put in the tracks? Or is this done as im creating the track?

You could add a video file, an image file, or create a transparent clip via Shotcut. If you’re not adding any video, I suggest a transparent clip.

Just one transparent clip above all tracks is enough to hold all text filters. Each filter can be trimmed and/or keyframed on that same transparent clip. I do not know the details of your project, so I’m only replying to something I would do, and others have done in this forum.

Here are a few Shotcut documentation posts about trimming and keyframing of filters.
